Call for Papers

Wednesday 20th September 2017 9:00am - 5:00pm

Cost £220.00

This conference will provide an up to date picture on the context, scale and impact of surface water flooding, advances in modelling and the key barriers to delivering SuDS with innovative case studies and collaborations. Following on from the National Flood Resilience Review, this event will examine the best opportunities and next steps to be taken by government, developers, critical infrastructure providers and a wide range of other stakeholders for surface water management.

A wide range of papers are invited to consider:

  • The paradigm shift needed to address the scale of the threat that surface water flooding poses,
  • Partnership working by key stakeholders to develop a tool kit of measures from Property Level Protection to SuDS and urban design, and
  • How we can recognise and measure the multiple benefits from implementing effective flood projects.

All abstracts should be concise and clearly state results, objectives or key components of the paper. They should not exceed 500 words and should contain a clear list of intended presenter(s) clearly separate from authors and email addresses for all involved. A maximum of two presenters for each paper is allowed.  An electronic copy (in doc format) must be submitted before 5pm on Friday 31st March 2017 to sophie@ciwem.org. If you have any questions please also email sophie@ciwem.org.
